Re: Request for Quick Dark Mode Toggle Button in Toolbar
Thank you so much for pointing that out! I wasn’t aware of the Dark Mode icon in the navigation bar—this will definitely save me a lot of time. I appreciate the helpful tip!
Re: Request for Quick Dark Mode Toggle Button in Toolbar
@acastillo - In your Navigation bar (bottom of screen), there is a Dark Mode icon you can click to change modes.
The shortcut of CTRL + 3 is another option.
Re: "COMMENT" COLUMN IN TOOL CHEST
Actually, I take that back, well at least some of it. I just checked and you can now HIDE the Comment section.
and just slide the column over, and now its GONE:
I also see that you can pretty much hide all columns you want, so this issue is FIXED!
Re: Trenching tool
hi @Doug McLean
Unfortunately, I don't my set isn't really like this.
My workflow does involve does ultimately work out the volume of muck excavated from drainage trenches, but I use Excel to do the calculation bit as there are too many variables for Bluebeam to deal with. For example, the trench width will depend on the size of sewer pipe being installed, the depth of the trench, etc..
This is a link to demonstrate what I end up with
For this example, I'd probably look at a couple of custom columns for the top and bottom widths of the trenches. You might be able to throw in a couple of default values or even use some kind of formula. However, I would it will end up needing a lot of manual overriding which I think @Moises’s iPad is actually trying to get away from.
Re: Bluebeam Sets won't print the latest revision
Ah, I see now. I just tried it and it printed the pages I asked for (Even pages of PDF-1, 3-6 of PDF-2) so I see how it should work. Not sure why it's not working correctly for you. May need to reinstall Revu to fix a corrupted file, library, or path.
Re: I am politely begging you to add the ability to center hatch pattern - tile drawings
100% this is a problem. Don't get me started about not being able to rotate the pattern…
Re: Any options to have BB studio reconnect automatically?
It occurs to me that if Bluebeam can't/won't implement auto-reconnect functionality, then at the very least give us an option to prohibit working offline. It's caused enough problems that I'd rather users couldn't see the PDFs at all during an actual extended internet outage. That seems like it'd be less of a problem than the silently-going-offline issue.
Re: Any options to have BB studio reconnect automatically?
I would both like Bluebeam to more aggressively attempt automatic reconnects and to also make it much more obvious in the UI when disconnected and working offline. I found some good examples of indicators at https://ux.stackexchange.com/a/89705/162139
The reason for this is confusion I've observed with some mechanics and electricians on my team. We use Bluebeam so that we can all have the latest schematic redline markups. I've noticed they normally have the Bookmarks pane visible and not the Studio pane. Since there is literally nothing in the UI telling them they're working offline, they can be working offline for days before noticing a schematic discrepancy compared with someone else's computer, and only then do they notice they've been working offline.
The existing popup seems reasonable, but in my experience at least 80% of users ignore every popup from every application and click whichever button they happen to mouse over first.
Re: 💡 Share Your Bluebeam Tips & Tricks!
If I could offer a tip it would be to play. Just try to figure stuff out.
Explore the UI, try stuff out. Go Hey, what does this tool do?
Other than that, change your profile to Revu Advanced. Just changing the UI from the out of the box profile makes a lot of difference
