Re: Creating repeat comments from standard list
Hi RTao,
I understand you're looking for a database lookup function similar to what you've used in other complex BIM software. Unfortunately, Bluebeam does not offer this feature. However, there are alternative methods you can consider:
- ToolSets with Prewritten Comments: You can create ToolSets that include prewritten comments. These ToolSets can be shared across your office, ensuring everyone adheres to company standards for comments. If you're already familiar with ToolSets, this might be a straightforward solution.
- Using Code for Comment Distinction: When I was drafting, I used a coding system to differentiate between comments. For example, you could add a comment like "PL01" to reference your Property Line 01 comment. This method allows for quick identification and consistency in your documentation. You can then add a cover sheet (or via Scripting) that shows the code and description as a one pager.
I understand these are work-arounds, potentially someone else in Community will have a better answer.
Re: Grouping Tabs for Open PDFs
Agree! Upvoted. This would be a great feature as I tend to leave the contract documents open for my most active projects. Those usually include at least two tabs - one for drawings and the other for the project manual (specs). A lot of times, there is also a tab for revisions.
Re: 🎉 Congratulations April 2025 Leaderboard Winner!
Cheers Bluebeam Community! In good company here, no doubt about it!

Yeah, @Jes Stafford, well deserved.

Re: Is there a way? CAD to Bluebeam - Line, Polyline, Polylength
I like where you are going with this, but honestly, this is beyond what our software can currently do.
I have done something similar years back, pulling in Architects .dwg files of buildings and changing elements to suit what I needed for Engineering. It saved so much time.
Sorry, Bluebeam does not have the functionality to pull the Vector information or line (PDF can be Vector or Raster (image)).
Re: Suggestion to Bluebeam: Enhancing OCR Capabilities for Handwritten Content
Yes, this is my testing result.
To improve the accuracy of Bluebeam OCR, integrating AI technology is essential.
Re: Suggestion to Bluebeam: Enhancing OCR Capabilities for Handwritten Content
One more comments / suggest to Bluebeam on Non-horizontal or vertical text condition
Above drawing with Bluebeam OCR Process but can't search the text (e.g. T.G.)
Above drawing through AI+OCR Tools Process, I can search "T.G." text at Bluebeam
Re: Grouping Tabs for Open PDFs
Upvoted! I find the tab navigation difficult to use, especially when there are many open files.
I often rely on the File Access panel instead. However, while writing this, I realized that the File Access panel doesn't display all open documents. I'll create a separate post to address that issue.
Re: Revu for iPad to Retire on December 31, 2025
DM sent. I have some additional questions and concerns that I would like to address.
Thank you!
