Re: Importing Bookmarks from Existing to New PDFs
I tried your suggested method and opened my older PDF plans with all my bookmarks and replaced all the pages from new plot. Initially it works well. The bookmarks are preserved and point to the newly replaced pages. However as soon as I save-as all all the bookmarks break. "Audit Bookmarks" confirm that they are all broken.
Re: ✴️ Feature Highlight: Help Button in Revu Menu
BB certainly has a powerful Help menu. It is fun to explore all the menus when helping someone, slowly working our way over to Help and showing them how they can always find the answer there.
✴️ Feature Highlight: Erase Content Tool
Need to clean up a PDF without affecting other areas on the page? The Erase Content tool in Bluebeam Revu lets you remove specific content like text, lines, or images, without messing with your markups or annotations. It’s great for clearing out outdated details or tidying up documents before sharing.
Have you ever needed to delete something from a PDF but keep the rest intact?

Studio Session Permissions - Markups List
One part question one part idea for y'all today. My office uses studio session extensively to redline and coordinate with several different consultant teams at once. A PM will have to manage 2-7 Bluebeam sessions at once, one per project site. Our field reps will be in and out of 20-40 sessions per week. The firm standard is to have updated progress sets printed with redlines transferred every two weeks during CD’s, and at least weekly during the last two months of the project. Right know when we update our sheets, we are having to save the files out, then export the markups, then open the new file, import the mark up, and then save again and finally upload to the sessions. The export markup function is grayed out in sessions even for admins although being able to make markups and alert markups are both applied permissions. The files are hundreds of pages long, and each session will have several, so manually copying over the redlines is not an option, and would also change its owner to who pasted it not who originated the redline. This takes 5 minutes per file, which really starts to add up and eat into the workday.
My question is - does anyone know of a work around or smoother workflow for keeping both sheets updated along with redlines?
My idea is - add a toggle for access to the markup list drop down within applied permissions, this would allow for session admins to delegate redline transferring to each set lead without having to give them document upload rights. Id love to hear yalls thoughts on this!
Re: Studio Session Permissions - Markups List
That was part of what document sets was supposed to do, but it isn't supported in a session and is a struggle to work with. We have had several projects move into using ACC or Aconex for this reason, although those tools are not nearly as good - but they do this task of tracking comments through the development of the drawings that unfortunately Bluebeam does very poorly on. It's a feature request.
Re: Update on Bluebeam for Mobile - Spring 2025
@hhughes, Thanks for sharing all of this - your situation is exactly the kind of feedback we’ve been trying to stay close to.
First, let me address the issue you're seeing right now: if your Studio Project says “No Documents,” it’s likely due to an outdated app version. Updating to the latest version should fix it. If not, a full uninstall/reinstall usually resolves it. If you’re still stuck after that, please DM me - I’d be happy to help directly.
Now to the bigger concern: we hear you. Revu for iPad has been central to a lot of field workflows, and we know this shift can feel disruptive. The good news is that Tool Sets will be available in Studio on iOS later this year—well ahead of the Revu for iPad retirement.
That said, not every feature will be rebuilt. We’re prioritizing what field teams need most. Some office-focused features like document editing and Studio administration will stay on desktop for now. Other less common tools may return later based on demand.
We’ll keep communicating as new features roll out, and I’d love to stay in touch to make sure your team has what it needs.
Re: PDF Graphical issues with markups/snapshots
Hi @Josh Bolton - Thank you for posting in Bluebeam Community! This is a known issue that is currently under investigation. We would appreciate if you could complete this form to create a ticket for our Technical support team, they’ll be more than happy to assist you! In the ticket please attach the screenshots together with your log files.
Re: PDF Graphical issues with markups/snapshots
I know of 2 computers in our office that are having the same issue. All drivers are up-to-date on both computers, and the latest Windows updates are also installed on both. One computer is running Windows 10 and the other is Windows 11. Both are Dell Precisions (5820 & 3680), and both use a NVIDIA graphics card (Quadro RTX 4000 & RTX 2000ada). We have about 80 Bluebeam users and currently only 2 have reported this issue. The two computer models that are experiencing the issue are not unique in our environment; many others in our firm are using Bluebeam on the same models without an issue. Interestly, both users experiencing the issue are in our Civil department; no issues have been reported from our Structural, MEP, or Architectural departments. So, my best guess at this point is the issue stems from some software that is unique to our Civil department.
Re: Allow Admins to Reassign Session Host/Ownership
This one has come up before. Def problematic during changes in personnel. UPVOTED.
