Re: Import Bookmarks
Yes, it would be great if we could
- export the bookmarks as a .CSV file,
- edit the .CSV file in Excel,
- import edited bookmarks.
Re: Update on Bluebeam for Mobile - Spring 2025
It is going to be really important to have users be able to have their own markups / measurements without having to save the entire file back to the cloud. That has been the issue with the original app as people have to check the drawings in and out. The size of the files we all deal with can make the system unusable/unstable and causes people to save locally. Ideally, we would have our own layers and / or be able to share what we want to share without having to save the entire file. Yes, we can use sessions but there are many issues with that as well. Drawings are ever changing and sessions has too many limitations with that regard. Solving this speed issue will be critical and from what we see right now Bluebeam has a lot of work to do.
Re: How to Track Project Issues
Love the idea of giving your collaborators a custom toolbox. We have been sending a sort of legend for them to select/set as default, or select/add to toolbox. Your approach would take those steps away and make it easier to markup.
Re: ✴️ Feature Highlight: Help Button in Revu Menu
Angela. The help menu is one of my favorite tools in all of Revu. If there was just one thing I'd like to see done though, it would be to include the current keyboard shortcut for the tools/commands search results.
I have started doing a weekly Bluebeam meeting at my company, where I go over all different aspects of Bluebeam. While screensharing, every time someone asks a question, I go to the help menu and find the resource to answer the question there. That way they know where my information is coming from and hopefully they'll see how easy it is to find the information for themselves.
I can only imagine how daunting this software would be without it.
Re: Merge Area Measuerment
I noticed I misspelled "measurement" earlier. That aside, there are cases where a user might start creating an area measurement but stop midway for various reasons. While it's possible to add nodes and continue shaping the area, that process can be tedious. Instead, if a user could simply draw an additional area to complete the measurement, the ability to select two adjacent areas and merge them into one would streamline the workflow and reduce the time spent manually adjusting nodes.
Re: ✴️ Feature Highlight: Help Button in Revu Menu
Great question, @Angela Aff ! I love the Revu Tutorials for new users. Pick a category, watch a brief walkthrough video, & have access to sample plans to tinker with.
✴️ Feature Highlight: Help Button in Revu Menu
This week, we're highlighting the Help button in the Revu menu!
Have you ever explored how helpful the Help menu really is?
Think of it as your in-app navigation tool that allows you to quickly access resources, without ever having to leave Revu:
» Learn by accessing Bluebeam University
»Refresh your memory
» Find Tools + Commands
» Launch the Welcome to Revu Help guide (this is one of my personal favorites)
» Access Bluebeam Community
- Connect with Bluebeam users like you to ask questions and meet new people
- Submit product ideas & suggestions - while they're at the top of your mind
» Get technical support
» Onboard new users
- Welcome to Revu (F12 keyboard shortcut)
- Launch Revu tutorials
- Access a sample file
Tell us!
- Do you frequently use the Help tool?
- Is there something available in the Help tool that you didn't know existed?
…Let's hear it!
Re: Are folks using Bluebeam to create dashboard for various project links/information?
@BTM When I worked in the field still, there were a couple ways that I would create a Dashboard type document in Bluebeam.
The fanciest is to make what Bluebeam calls a Digital Dashboard. Basically a fancy PDF with graphics that you link to resources/plans/files/sites/etc. You can link it all to a Studio Project where you keep files if you like.
I wold do it this way for a big project or one that was going to last a long time and needed a polished look.

I was usually too busy to make something fancy on a regular basis, so in those cases, I would just make a PDF with some instructions, maybe load a necessary Profile (.bpx) ot Teool Set (.btx) right into the PDF, add some text hyperlinks to the resources or to my Studio Project and then I would email it out, or attach it as a cover sheet in a Session, or load it as the first document anyone saw in my Studio Project. Way easier, but not as slick looking.
Re: How to Track Project Issues
Disclaimer - I am now a Bluebeam employee, but I came from concrete construction and came to Bluebeam because I was such a fan.
When I was in construction, I used Bluebeam to track almost all project issues and communication with my-subs/partners, I would invite them all to a Session with the project plans. Have a specific Tool Set for comments by each sub or by specialty, each in a different color and then they could use Bluebeam to mark the issue on directly on the plans, add any photos, make comments, assign a Status, etc. Bluebeam automatically logs who made the comment and when, so that was half the info I needed already.
Basically, we avoided using emails to communicate at all and used the Sessions plan set as a single source of truth and the primary means of recording issues/phasing/site layout/punchlists/etc. That way everything was searchable and sortable and I could easily generate quick reports (using the Markups List Summary) by trade/user/phase/etc.
I did make custom columns like @Luke Shiras mentioned above, but having the toolchests pre-created for my collaborators meant that I had already pre-filled a lot of the columns for them. I only required that they update a couple columns when they added a new item to the Session (like "Due Date", "Urgency/Criticality" or maybe a pick-list column with other trades/specialties that would be impacted/involved).
To make sure that everyone had access to my Tool chests, I would load a cover page in the Session with some simple instructions and a copy of the Profile that held all the tools.
We figured, why keep a separate Excel file that we had to keep publishing when the Markups List is basically an excel file that everyone can access.
