Re: Saving PDF to my iPAD after editing it with Bluebeam iPad
Aloha Bob,
Right now the path to save a PDF edited with Bluebeam on an iPad are:
- Select the Send To icon
- Select Open In from the options
- Then Save to Files
- From here you can choose to save files to On my iPad or iCloud
This is a pretty lengthy process just to save an edited PDF.
Four steps is too many just to save an edited PDF.
I have put in a request to ask that this process be simplified with less steps.
Re: How are YOU using Bluebeam as an engineer?!
As an engineering subcontractor (Test and Balance), our processes may differ from most Engineers, but we do a WIDE variety of functions within Revu:
- Color coding ductwork
- Labeling and sequencing HVAC systems
- Overlays (custom, cannot use overlay function built into Revu do to the creation of a separate file)
- Slip Sheeting revisions to a master takeoff set
- Creation of custom forms with Room/Grille Layout with form fields to collect data. JavaScript.
- Import / Export form data and markups year to year for annual verifications
- Estimating using counts. Occasional use of Search for symbols and apply count. Legends.
- Batch Hyperlinking
- Export Table Data
- Searching Archived reports
- Studio Projects
There's probably more, but those are the major, almost every day kind of items.

Re: Feedback : Find and Replace
Correct, those search results are not replaceable.
And again, the find and replace will only work once Flattened, and then you will not be able to unflatten.
Re: Feedback : Find and Replace
Thank you for the reply. I have tried to run find and replace after unflattening but still no success. By the way there is only one check box and it is for "Select All". Each instance doesn't have its own selection box. Does this mean the find and replace function will not work?

Re: Modifying Snapshot Properties with Scripts
I believe this request would fall more under Scripts than Snapshot setting, and would be extremely useful for individuals who cannot use the default overlay features. I.E., I do not like creating separate files for my overlays, so the process would look something like:
- Run Snapshot Script
- This would be set to take a clean (no markup full page snapshot)
- Run Paste in place (overlay) Script
- Would paste snapshot from clipboard
- Color Process
- Modify blending properties
- Modify opacity
- Set Layer (Dialogue box?)
- Flatten
- Save file in current location
- Super Bonus
- Being able to run both of these as a singular script from a set of source files to a set of target files as batch…
The current limitation for this is the number and narrow scope of functions available on Script creation (not full javascript api, Scripting under Document/Script and Batch/Script)
Re: Modifying Snapshot Properties with Scripts
I could see this being "set as default" when pasting snapshots or maybe a "style" that can be applied with these preset properties (better if you have multiple versions)
Re: Modifying Snapshot Properties with Scripts
I also love this idea. I use the same properties on my snapshots every time, and I agree it's a little tedious when you're doing a bunch of them.
