Filter Markups - Hides markups under it.
I use the filter markups function to locate all takeoffs. However, when I have two markups at same location as in the picture, and try to filter the markup that I need, it will not show because the other markup is greyed out and obstructs it. The filter markup feature should work in a way similar to layers. for example in the picture below Blue is the markup i want to see, but the mark on top of it is greyed out and blocking the blue, and when I try to modify, the markup on top gets modified.
Re: 📢 The Future of Bluebeam Cloud ☁️
I'll be honest here. Bluebeam Cloud was rolled out incomplete with limited functionality, some corporate interpretation of a minimum viable product. It significantly damaged my faith in Bluebeam to provide a decent cloud product. It will be difficult for me to even care about looking at any updates to Bluebeam Cloud in the future since it seemed so far away from being useful when it was launched.
Re: FEDRAMP and/or disabling cloud services - CMMC evaluation
🤞Yeah, that would be cool. I just don't have much confidence that it would happen any time soon, if at all.
Re: Alert attendee log
I requested this exact functionality back in 2022. This is the response I received:
"We're working on it. Thank you for contacting Bluebeam! Your questions and feedback are invaluable to us. We have created Case # 01195990 for you, so please keep this for your records."
Having a column in the markup list for who was alerted, (with the ability for the author to delete) seems like it would add a ton of utility. Bluebeam, are you listening to your users?
Re: Include 45 degree angles in Visual Search
Alan,
I appreciate your response. Even when using Visual Search with 'Search Multiple Rotations' and 'Search for Fine Detail', I am noticing the search function miss symbols that are not along a standard axis.
I have provided an example of the situation below. In this case, the Visual Search did not find the first symbol that was rotated 315 degrees from its standard orientation, but did find the second symbol rotated 270 degrees from its standard orientation.
Visual Search is a wonderful feature, and I would be happy to help contribute to its success however I can.
Thank you for your time,
Austin
Re: Get early access to new Bluebeam innovations - USA link not working
Your screen name is displayed to other testers so there are some automatic checks in place to make sure that no one is using a screen name that is personally identifiable information (not that using your full name is that much better but at least you wont be exposing your email address via your screen name). My guess is that the security robots identified (Omaha, NE, USA) as some type of email alias. Thanks for signing up. Now that you are in the system you will start to get invites to test projects as they go live. The next one we have scheduled is going to be the Revu 21.6 beta which we will start recruiting for in May. (as well as some as yet un announced Bluebeam Labs tests which I can't talk about yet.)
Just Rub Some Dirt On Your Feelings | Future Built by Bluebeam: Ep 2
Reposting this LinkedIn post from my colleague and Future Built co-host Stefanie Reichman I couldn't have said it better:
Which buzzword do you hate most? AI, mental health, or work-life balance?
Maybe it’s a synergy of all three.😏
For most of careers, we didn’t think much about mental health. If I was stressed, I just powered through. That’s what engineers do, right?
But after becoming a mom, I realized mental health isn’t just about feeling “stressed” or “fine.” It’s the difference between having the energy to play with toy cars for an hour or feeling too drained to read one more bedtime story.
For me, prioritizing mental health has meant:
✔️Taking walks outside during lunch
✔️ Grabbing lunch with a friend (wish I did this more)
✔️ Getting coaching through BetterHelp
✔️Hitting the gym—even (especially) when I don’t want to
And that’s exactly why I’m SO excited for Episode 2 of FutureBuilt! 🎉
Taylor Allen dives into this topic with so much positivity. She’s a fellow career pivoter (engineer → CSM), a Bluebeam Mental Health Advocate, and the proud dog mom of a pup with a burrito blanket!
We even take our syncs on walks—once at a company summit, we got to do it IRL!
If you’ve ever struggled with balancing career changes, stress, and life outside of work, you need to catch this episode.
