Re: The Autodesk – Bluebeam Connector
Almost forgot, you can see it earlier if you're headed to AU in mid September.
Re: Highlighting Tool
@rdbench I created an area measurement with a "0.0" line thickness, yellow color and highlight option selected. I changed the subject to "HIGHLIGHT" and saved this to the "1" spot in my "My Tools" tool chest. Now when I have one of those documents that doesn't like to highlighted cleanly I simple tap the "1" key and create a clean simple custom highlight.
Unfortunately, as @cvangorder noted below you don't have the benefit of capturing the highlighted text in the comment column, but for instances where this isn't needed the workaround gets the job done.
Re: Highlighting Tool
I have also found an option is to highlight the text with the Select Text Command (Shift+T), then right click and choose 'Highlight Selected Text' from the menu. Additionally, with the Select Text Command active you can hold CTRL to select within the bounds of the cursor box.

Re: Right Angle Dimensions
@Tony Tenbrink this seems to work on a quick idea:
Select your tool and click in order point 1, point 1A and double click point 2 to end the measurement
Select point 1A and drag towards point 1B - my setup seems to default to a 90 degree corner when I get to point 1B
It's a 2 step process, but would get you there.
Another option would be to click on point 1, then hold the shift key down as you click on point 1B and then continue to hold the shift key down while you click on point 2.
Either way it's at least a 3 click process, but it appears that it would give you the information that you need. 😎
Re: 🗓️ August 2025 Challenge - One Tool, Many Uses!
Similar to this one, the "erase content" is a really helpful tool (although it's more permanent)

Not at all off track. Thanks for sharing this!

Re: Bluebeam Field
Hello Shawn,
Thank you for the response. As far as Check-in/out goes, as far as what I and my team use it for… its a rather pointless feature. We do engineering and construction oversight so I need to be able to take a document from Bluebeam Studio, download it, make my markups, save it as a new document with a revision date in the name, and upload it to Bluebeam Studio so that information goes out to all of the members of my team get the same information at the same time. I suspect this was the original intent of Bluebeam Studio iOS, and Bluebeam Revu for iPad has this exact functionality. Its a real bummer Bluebeam has chosen to phase out Revu for iPad. But why the dev team for Cloud eliminated the same functionality as Revu is mind boggling. In summary, I want one (1) person on my team managing the data on Bluebeam Studio making sure everyone has the most current information and I want my field representative to be able to markup drawings on the go while also have a record of the original information.
File access to Dropbox would be a huge addition but again, unless I can upload in the field directly to Studio… that file access doesn't help. I can't link multiple accounts to a single Dropbox account. So if I wanted all member of my team to have the most current information, I'd have to upload a document to Dropbox, than share that document with my team and hope they see my email telling them to please download the document and review it or upload it to their device or whatever their choice maybe. Then if my field guy makes a small change but doesn't put it back in Dropbox for everyone else… that information is immediately lost.
Keeping files current is the goal. But if Cloud remains in its current state where 90% of the features that Revu for iPad had are gone… the goal of keeping files current will not be met. Engineering and construction oversight have no need for Sessions. I don't plan on ever having a collaborative markup session with a general contractor during construction as that is what progress meetings are for. I hope I am being clear on what the needs of my team and almost certainly any other engineering office that does construction oversight does. But if it helps, a video conference call could be arranged.
One last comment on file access. Once upon a time, many moons ago, I had Bluebeam Xtreme…. it was an early version of Bluebeam long before it transitioned to this subscription nonsense. The Studio in that version of Bluebeam would let me download the entire Studio folder structure at the conclusion of a project. Studio at that time served as sort of a file sharing service in that sense and it was super convenient. Is there any chance of the updates being able to do this in the future?
Re: Please Add an Option to Remove the Scale for Page
Hi all,
Luke from the Product team here. @RChernoff - yes, we do read many - if not all - of the posts here in Community. We are always interested in your feedback - regardless of what or why. We are grateful that you all would take the time to engage with each other over a suggestion. The OP is correct in that there isn't a way to remove a page scale. We don't have any near-term plans for making this update but I will be sure to pass this along to the Revu team. Thanks again for your engagement.
