Files slow? This may help improve performance.
Are your PDF files lagging when rendering or loading when opening? Try this setting to see if it helps.
- Click Revu (upper left) > Preferences / Or you can push "CTRL+K"
- On the left panel, click Advanced
- Under the 2D Rendering tab:
- Rendering Engine: Set to "Hardware"
- Rendering Mode: Set to "Wait for Completion"
- Click OK.
This allows Revu to use your system hardware for processing. It is very similar to Autodesk's Hardware Acceleration if you know it.
A Bonus Tip!
- You can also Export your Preferences as an XML file and have someone Import it into their Revu to apply the settings automatically. The 'Import' and 'Export' buttons are at the bottom of the image above.
As the CAD Manager at my company, I receive performance-related issues as the number one complaint. This is something that usually helps things run a little smoother (having a good amount of RAM and a good GPU help as well 🤫).
Please post any tips that have helped you or your company.
Re: Community Events
Hey @Carina - this is product feedback I submitted to Higher Logic Vanilla too. Unfortunately, this appears to be a limitation with the software. But I agree!
—Specifically, immediate RSVP
—RSVP follow-up to add to their calendar
The event itself WILL be able to be forwarded to other users, but since the community isn't public yet, they'll just have to register for the community to access the meeting info.
Do you feel it's best to use Eventbrite? Let me know your thoughts!
Reminder: Price increase goes live on June 1, 2024

Make sure to notify your stakeholders and accounting dept.
Community Events
Would it be possible to have an RSVP directly on the Events portion within the Community?
This would help
- ✅Provide an immediate RSVP (bonus if we could add options beyond "yes, no" and add "In-person, virtual" if those are being offered)
- 🗓️Add a link for people to download the event to their calendar
- ⏩Forward the event to other users (or even people not yet on the community)

Re: Search Bar for Emojis
Hey @RJ Palis & @Marco found this out…. it's possible already! Here you go
If you're on a Windows PC use the Windows key and . (the period symbol) to bring up a Windows emoji menu. This has a search bar and makes things much easier 🙂
You can also achieve this on a mac by using the shortcut control + command + space bar:

Re: How are you managing 360 photos in Bluebeam?
@Andy Krogh @Aaron Murg @Susan Renteria @Matthew Gibbs @Tommi Sanchez - any thoughts and or ideas on best practices for using 360 photos in Revu for project scoping & construction site documentation?
Re: How are you managing 360 photos in Bluebeam?
Hey @Kaela.Mattson.EFL.TEC ,
I've been able to use 360 photos in Revu with no problem by attaching a capture to a markup!
Once you have uploaded your file it's pretty easy to open the capture and rotate in the viewer.

How long have you been using Bluebeam: Around 8 years… maybe more?
Favorite Bluebeam feature: I love using the snapshot tool to create a quick overlay, move something on a sheet etc.. very handy!
Love: Tacos, Drawing and Getting Outside
Fun Fact: I've lived in Virginia almost my entire life… it still feels like I've only recently moved to Maryland, but it's been 5 years!
Re: Overlays in color?
I wonder if the grey is to emphasize the color changes when comparing 2 or more documents?
I was able to maintain the image color beneath using these settings.
Instead of clicking the pen icon, I clicked the Edit Defaults button in the lower left corner.
Took off Layer 1 color (the map).
Changed the Default Blend to Color. This is set to Darken (and maybe thus the grey) as default.
I was able to keep the maps coloring and change the color of the layers on top. In addition to the Preview window, everything showed correctly in the new tab.
Would love to hear if anyone else has any ideas!
Overlays in color?
I use overlays quite often and with the latest Revu 21.1 all the overlays are in greyscale even when selecting no fill/color. If I add a color like red or blue, it'll keep it in the overlay. The previous Revu version would overlay and maintain the color image in the file. Is there a fix for this or I have missed a toggle button?
