✴️ Feature Highlight: Hiding Markups
This week, we're highlighting how to hide markups in Bluebeam Revu temporarily!
Temporarily hide markups in Bluebeam Revu to quickly surface and interact with markups whose visibility is obscured by overlapping markups. Here's how to:
Hide Markups:
- Right-click the markup(s) you want to hide on the document or from the Markups List and click the Hide icon
- A box indicating how many markups are hidden will appear in the corner of your screen
View & Unhide Markups:
- Hover over this box to view the hidden markups
- Click this box to unhide the markups
Note: Hiding a markup is temporary and will not save. When Hide Markup mode is enabled, markups will not be shown or printed.

Re: ✴️ Feature Highlight: Adding Actions to markups
I'm a new user [Just started working with Revu 02DEC2024] and I've been using this feature quite a bit to link from one document to another for easy referencing between DOO's/SOO's and drawings. But I've run into a bit of a bothersome issue;
If I place these actions on text markups, it quickly becomes quite cluttered. Is there a way to move the little icons in relation to the markup they're attached to?
Re: Copy and Paste multiple measurements
I forgot about that one! Thanks @Jes Stafford!
Re: Copy and Paste multiple measurements
Thank you again. I cant say I am looking forward to having sheets replaced after I am done with my takeoff, but I will be more prepared for it. Take care
Re: Copy and Paste multiple measurements
@Shaya Birnbaum Adding to that technique… try Edit/Paste in Place (Ctrl+Shft+V)… If the sheet layout is the same scale, orientation, and the plan did not change position relative to the sheet boarder, the markups will paste in the exact location as the sheet where they were copied from.
Re: Colouring lines
@Deano, WELCOME!
This may help you find the polyline tool…
Pro Tip: Check out Bluebeam University - So much to learn there:
Much luck!
Re: Colouring lines
That's just what I wanted Shaya. I have only just downloaded the program so now I need to find the polyline tool and have a play.
Re: Colouring lines
@Deano, If I understand correctly, it seems like you have a drawing with the piping diagrams already laid out, in black. What you are looking to do is change the colors of some lines to reflect your schedule.
The easiest way is to simply draw over those lines using the polyline tool, with the correct color. See sample below.
If you want to get fancier, you can also use "line styles" to include text on the line.
Re: Copy and Paste multiple measurements
You're welcome, Todd (and Tommy)!
The grouping suggestion is just a personal preference. When pasting, the location of the items depends on where your mouse is pointed on the sheet (the mouse acts as the bottom-left corner). I often find that I need to adjust the placement, even slightly. To make this easier, I group the items immediately after pasting. This allows me to move them freely around the drawing without worrying about losing the selection. Once I'm satisfied with the placement, I simply ungroup them.
Re: Autosize text box should account for text alignment
I forgot to circle back, but this was addressed in Revu 21.3!
