Re: What feature/tool could you talk about for hours?
I use Bluebeam to do all conceptual drawings and markups. I can 'draft' an entire structural set in a few days, and put out a professional product that later takes my team more than a month to produce anything comparable using Revit. All you need are tools that have the same settings, blocks, patterns as your typical CAD/BIM standards, some background pdf files from other disciplines. Here are some examples:
Using Bluebeam for concept work and sketches is something I preach about endlessly. The time savings is immense for things that are dynamic and changing. It's easy to drop these into a session and collaborate in real time.
What feature/tool could you talk about for hours?
What's one Bluebeam Revu feature or tool you could talk for hours about?
Let's get a ton of comments going so we can have a Bluebeam Feature Show & Tell at our next USBUG meeting!

Re: BlueBeam Cloud for IOS -- how do I even use this thing?
Hi @michael.slaunwhite@lewisservices.com and @Mark Wheat,
Thanks for the thoughtful notes! You're both highlighting real gaps we're working to close.
Right now, the iOS app only supports files that are part of a Studio Session or Studio Project, with the ability to check files in and out. We are currently developing a personal workspace for Cloud iOS that will start with support for opening and editing PDFs that are stored directly on the device—whether they're in Files, iCloud, or another DMS app.
We’re also working toward reducing the need to jump back to a PC just to upload or access the right version of a file. That includes offline sync, easier access to tool sets, and better markup performance.
Here’s a quick look at what’s planned for Q3:
- Open and edit files stored locally (iCloud, Files, or connected DMS apps)
- Mark Projects, folders, or files for offline sync, with background revision updates
- Improved freehand performance for Pen, Highlighter, and Eraser modes
Appreciate you both sharing your feedback—it’s directly shaping what we’re building.
Re: BlueBeam Cloud for IOS -- how do I even use this thing?
No worries!
Your assessment is accurate in the current state. There's a lot of preamble with no flexibility which complicates the process.
Our process is/was similar to yours:
Users could access their files via OneDrive, open in BB Revu, make their edits and save back to OneDrive/SP.
With BB Cloud, now any user has to:
Sign in on PC, create a Studio project/session (name/invites?), upload a document, sign into BB Cloud on iPad, find and open the project/session, check out the document, make edits, check in the document, confirm uploading save to the cloud, then retrieve the document from BB Cloud from their PC again.
Users have the option to save a copy to the device, but the copy saved not be linked to the BB Cloud instance (save the doc into OneDrive/SP)
Because we have iPads that will be shared in a team of staff, I also raised a matter because I would really appreciate a method to sign in a device from another signed in device (e.g. SSO or scanning a QR code on PC screen to sign in an iPad).
Currently, there is no option to open a PDF on the local device or from OneDrive in the Bluebeam Cloud app (doesn't appear in the "Open in another app" list)
I hope they add functionality to create projects or upload documents and/or use "My Workspace" on the iPad itself (foreseeing issues where the wrong version of a document was uploaded to a project, then having to go back to your PC to add the correct doc) but I expect this will be later on, if at all.
Also, to correct a note in my last comment, I uploaded a tool chest on the web-app version, and it did not carry across to the iPad. Another potential feature but may limit how users add markups on-site currently.
Cheers,
Mark
Re: Revu Markups List Sorting
The only way I know to use multi column sorting is through Filter List on the markup list, but I don’t think those changes keep if you try to export and you are always excluding at least one item when you filter. It would be nice to be able to sort the list as well as filter it with the same abilities.
Re: 🗓️ June 2025 Challenge - Revu Remix!
I've used Bluebeam a few times to draw how all the equipment in my home studio is connected. It's been very useful when buying new gear or replacing old equipment. By naming all the cables, I have an exact overview of the different types and quantities, so I know if there's room for new equipment.
Bluebeam is also useful in association work, where all attachments related to, for example, an annual meeting can be neatly compiled with links between pages and a navigation panel. I don't think I've sent paper attachments in at least 8 years
Reminder: Studio Prime Integrations End of Life (EOL) on June 30, 2025
We would like to remind all Bluebeam integrations users that on June 30, 2025, the API and integrations functionality within the Studio Prime product will reach end-of-life to make way for enhanced offerings on our updated Integrations platform. All other Studio Prime capabilities, including user management, will remain available until December 31, 2025.
Check out the new Bluebeam Integrations Directory that showcases the various connected experiences available across our Bluebeam ecosystem and built in the updated integrations platform.
When will integrations be available in the new integrations platform?
Many integration partners will have completed their migration to the new integrations platform by December 31, 2024. Remaining integration partners are expected to complete their migrations throughout the first half of 2025. The final deadline to migrate is June 30, 2025.
Do I have to do anything to use the new integrations platform?
Existing integration partners are migrating to the new integrations platform. If you use integrations, you should work with your partner representative to upgrade to the latest version of their application as needed. Access links to these partners' websites are on the Integrations Directory page. With an active Bluebeam subscription, you do not have to update anything within Bluebeam to use migrated integrations.
Is the integrations platform compatible with SSO/SCIM?
Yes—using migrated integrations on the new platform allows you to also use SSO/SCIM, a capability that was not possible with Studio Prime.
Re: Organizing the folders within Studio Project
If I under this correctly you should be able to rename the files and add a number in front of the file which should automatically put the file in sequential order (See attached). Also, you can save your annotations by hitting F2 and save to your local drive. When ready, use F3 you reinstate your mark-ups / edits.
✴ Feature Highlight: Creating Custom Statuses
Did you know that you can set the status of any markup in the Markups list and create your own custom statuses?
To create a custom status, you first must create a custom model.
Click Window > Panels > Markups
Then, on the Markups list, click the icon on the Status column and click Manage Status.
Click Add below the Models list.
Enter a model name.
Now click your new model in the Models list. Then click Add. The State Properties box will appear.
Enter a name for the new status.
- You can also associate text with this status by checking Text and enter it in the corresponding field.
- To associate color with this status, check Color and choose your desired color.
Now your custom model will appear in the Set Status list as a submenu with its associated custom statuses inside it!
👇Comment down below:
- Do you prefer to use Bluebeam’s default statuses or create your own?
- When have custom statuses come in handy for you while working?
