Legends

I like to use multiple legends on the same drawing to give a summary of measurements for different areas of work.

Whenever a markup tool is used, and the proposed legend is selected, Revu assumes that all previous markups that have used that same tool, need to go on the same legend? I've found I'm working around this by repeatedly re-making tools with identical properties and slightly different names/subjects. Am i missing something?

I feel like Legends has room to be significantly more useful through a wider set of properties, filters and sorting tools. Whilst the mark-ups lists are the ideal source of information for the user taking the measurements, its important for me to be able to present a clear summary of measurements in order for a client, who is often a non-Bluebeam user (unfortunately), to be able to understand my work.

If there are any resources available where i might learn more about ways to work with legends i would be greatly appreciative.

  • @JJones I thought there was a way to do this. I played with it a little and couldn't figure it out either. It would be nice to see a solution to this. I feel like it already exists and I'm just missing it. I can only see where you can separate it by page, not area of a page.

The best way i have found so far is to

    1. Create a custom column called Reference
    2. Assign each markup assigned to the legend a reference in the sequence I wish to see them in the legend.
    3. In the legend column editor, i include the custom column and move it to the top of the order of priority.

It works, but it can be a little laborious. Maybe its easier to export to excel and create my own legends to reinsert.
